If youāre an anime fan andĀ a guitarist, welcome back. š
This is a follow-up to my first ā5 anime songs you can play on the guitarā post ā same idea, same format: 5 iconic (or sneakily awesome) anime picks, with performance videos + tabsĀ so you can actually learn them instead of just thinking about learning them.
š Havenāt read the first one yet? This post is a continuation of my original article, ā5 Fun Anime Songs You Can Play on the Guitar.āIf you want even more beginner-friendly and nostalgic picks, you can check that one out here:

1. ASUKA STRIKES! ā Evangelion (Shiro Sagisu)

ASUKA STRIKES! is already a legit guitar trackĀ in the Evangelion soundtrack world ā not just āanime music that happens to work on guitar.ā
On the official soundtrack credits, electric guitar is listedĀ to be performed by Fujimaru Yoshino.
Heavily inspired by country fingerpicking, this is actually a pretty good gateway into that kinda playing.
Evangelion ā ASUKA STRIKES! (tab video)
Difficulty: Intermediatešø Why itās fun: It already wantsĀ to be played on guitar ā country American twang!ā¬

2. A Day of the Town ā Lupin the Third (Yuji Ohno / You & Explosion Band)

āA Day of the Townā lives in that classy Lupin jazz universe ā smooth, stylish, and full of groove. Depending on the arrangement/version youāre pulling from, it leans into that bossa sound.
Translation: it sits in that sweet spot where you can focus on clean chord comping, tight rhythm, and tasteful melody phrasingĀ without needing it to be some shred-fest. If you like the idea of sounding ājazzyā without falling into theory quicksand, this tune tends to be a good vehicle.
This is an arrangement I did of it meant for duo guitar.

š Difficulty: Easy to IntermediateĀ (depending on your arrangement) šø Why itās fun: Bossa/fusion feel + ācool-guyā phrasing. It makes your rhythm playing sound grown.ā¬

3. God knows⦠ā The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (ENOZ / Aya Hirano)

This is maybe like the "Sweet Child of Mine" of the anime world.
"You play guitar? Well, can you play the intro to God Knows?"
āGod knowsā¦ā is from the cultural festival performance in the āLive Aliveā episode, and it was released as part of the single āThe Assortment of Haruhi Suzumiya.ā
Guitar-wise, it lands in that satisfying zone of J-rock rhythm + melodic lead moments.

š Difficulty: Intermediate šø Why itās fun: Rock rhythm + lead phrases that feel āstage-ready.ā⬠Tabs:

4. 許å©ć£ćć
ć (Iinazukkyun) ā Ranma 1/2 (ano)

This one is pure modern chaos (in a good way).
anoās ć許å©ć£ćć
ććĀ is the opening theme for the newer Ranma 1/2, and itās got that bright, hyper, āwhat is even happeningā energy that makes anime openings so fun.
On guitar, itās a great pick if you want to practice tight rhythmic hits, clean muting, and that āanime OPā sense of forward motion. It mightĀ not be the first thing youād think of as a āguitar song,ā which is exactly why itās a fun addition to the list.

š Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediatešø Why itās fun: Great rhythm workout ā clean chops, timing, and groove.⬠Tabs: https://mymusic.st/ontarioguitarstudio/215038
5. For You ā Fuuka (Fuuka Akitsuki CV: Lynn / The fallen moon)

If you want something that feels more āemotional anime band song,ā āFor Youā is a great pick.
This track hits that sweet spot where it sounds great on guitar even with a simpler arrangement ā because the vibe does a lot of the heavy lifting. It works nicely as either:
a supportive rhythm partĀ (big ringing chords / arpeggios), or
a melody-forward arrangementĀ if you want it to feel like a featured piece.
Fuuka ā For You (tab video)
š Difficulty: High beginner to Intermediate
šø Why itās fun: It rewards dynamics and feel ā itās not just ānotes,ā itās music.ā¬
